Cafes of Japan: Fukuoka

In this new series of short films, Cafes of Japan, our team headed out to immerse themselves in the coffee culture of Japan and explore some of the best coffee spots this wonderful country has to offer. So sit back and enjoy the journey as we travel across Japan, with our second stop in Fukuoka.

In the vibrant and bustling city of Fukuoka, where the streets are alive with energy and creativity, there lies a stunning coffee shop known as Coffee County. This charming establishment has become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike, not only for its inviting atmosphere but also for the exceptional quality of its brews.

Behind the counter, tirelessly crafting each cup, is the distinguished Takaaki Mori. A true connoisseur of coffee, Takaaki has dedicated himself to mastering the art of coffee brewing. His journey took a transformative turn when he spent three months immersed in the lush landscapes of Nicaragua, seeking to deepen his understanding of coffee cultivation. During this time, he forged meaningful connections with local coffee farmers, learning firsthand about their passionate dedication and the meticulous care they invest in their craft. This experience profoundly galvanized Takaaki’s passion for advocating for coffee producers and ensuring their stories are told and celebrated.

At Coffee County, the team is committed to honoring the hard work and expertise of coffee farmers by utilizing only the finest tools available when preparing and serving their coffees. They believe that each cup should reflect the meticulous effort that goes into its creation, showcasing the unique flavors and profiles that emerge from different regions.

We are truly honored that Takaaki has chosen Ditting grinders as a key component in this mission. By selecting our grinders to showcase their thoughtfully sourced coffees, he ensures that every cup served at Coffee County is not only a testament to the farmers’ hard work but also an exquisite experience for the coffee lovers who gather to enjoy them.
